An additional purpose is to be a resource. I link to as many legitimate &quot;peers&quot; as I can find.

If someone is shopping for services like mine, I may as well point to my &quot;peers.&quot; By not pointing to them doesn&#039;t mean prospects won&#039;t still go looking. And I become known as the &quot;go-to-guy&quot; in my field.
