Sorry to hear you had to close down your storefront. I'd recommend a Flippa listing to you, especially since IMO a site like yours will whither if it goes unsold for very long, and over time it will decrease in the likelihood that anyone would want to buy it. Good luck.

Our website is actually up for sale as our store location had to close. Our website is highly ranked and is search-engine friendly. We were asking $15K but are considering all resonable offers at this point

I am looking for more information on forum buying, designing, and monetizing. I'm currently in the design phase of a forum website and looking to possibly purchase more
forums once I get a better grasp on how to actually monetize and manage a forum. I can certainly provide more details but I'm not sure how active this blog is so I'll wait to hear back from you. I saw your name at experienced-people.net and found this blog via google search for your name.

Excellent primer on due diligence, Peter. As you say, there are several other tools. The ones I use vary depending on the site I'm buying.

If a large proportion of the site's value seems to be in the backlinks, I spend more time analysing those backlinks, seeing if the major sites that link in are from pages owned/controlled by the seller himself. If I see value primarily in the content and the Adsense income, I spend more time investigating how original that content is and analysing his Adsense stats relative to his website's traffic.

It's an art form, isn't it? ;) Great fun, great fun.

hey everyone, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place but I need some help.

I few years ago I bought a timeshare at one of those high pressure sales pitches. I thought it was a good idea at the the time but now I can't afford the maintenance fees and the property taxes i have to pay every year.

Does anyone know of a place that can sell my timeshare for me? I've tried several listing companies with no luck. When I look on ebay there are timeshares going for $1. Is my timeshare that I payed a butt load for really only worth a dollar?

thanks,

I use Quantcast.com to get an average idea of traffic VS claims of traffic. I think they have an easy to read layout. Sometimes I wonder how accurate they are though.
