Spamdexing: Just Say No

What is spamdexing? In general, it’s the use of dishonest methods to game the search engines for high rankings. Specific methods can include hidden text, keyword stuffing, hidden links, mirrors and gateways, cloaking, code swapping, link spamming, referral log spamming, comment spamming, duplicate content, and so on. While I’m sure that some people have made big money using these methods, I believe it to be as immoral as theft.

I thought this was significant. I’ve been a member on Sitepoint’s forum for almost three years now, they asked me to be a Mentor about two years ago and recently I was asked to be an Advisor. The big difference there is that I’m a real moderator now, and instead of just being able to complain about spam, I can remove it myself. I’ve been asked to moderate on a few other forums, but haven’t been as enthusiastic anywhere other than at my own forums and at Sitepoint.

Bush says he will have the budget balanced by 2009. Why not now?
The social security thing, he proposed to allow people to have a private account, but the options for investment will be very strictly limited. I guess the government knows best what we should do with our money, according to the President.
